Eating healthy is a choice. Everyday each of us makes decisions on what we buy at the grocery, what we order (for take-out) at the restaurant and what we snack on between meals.
I am a “snacker”. While I love to cook, I also love to snack. Especially during this time when we are honoring a stay at home order from our Governor. For many years I would grab whatever was around – it didn’t matter, salty or sweet, good for me or not, high in calories, high in salt – it just didn’t matter.
Then I started examining my unhealthy lifestyle and started paying attention to what I was putting in my mouth (in addition to how little I was exercising), I made a decision to make a change. I did so without giving up everything I loved to eat. Instead, I started exercising regularly and seeking out food that not only taste great but are better for me. That’s when we founded the 72 Chocolate Collection. A better for you snack.
Working with chocolatier Maxwell Logan, we created a collection of chocolate snacks that tastes great, are all natural, use real ingredients, nothing artificial and most of all are good for you.
You don’t have to create your own product line of food to eat better. There are literally hundreds of products on your grocers’ shelves, that are healthy alternatives. All you have to do is pay attention and as my mother would say, “….make good choices”.
